Tera-Mai ™ Reiki Seichem helps us to move through the blockages that prevent our lives flowing as they could. The energies enhance our natural ability to heal ourselves.

At the end of the 19th century a healing method was rediscovered in ancient Sanskrit texts by a Japanese scholar, Mikaomi Usui. He called it Reiki, a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy. Reiki was taken to America during the 1940s and is now used throughout the world.

Seichem is reputedly one of the healing arts practised in Ancient Egypt. In the Tera-Mai ™ system, Reiki is an element of Seichem which uses the four elemental healing rays. These are Reiki (earth), Sophiel (water), Angelic Light (air and spirit) and Sakara (fire). These rays work individually or together, depending on the needs of the recipient. It promotes and accelerates the healing process while providing deep relaxation which helps with stress.

A treatment usually lasts one hour and you remain fully clothed while laying down on a couch. The healer will gently place her hands in various positions on or just above your body and you may feel a pleasant sensation of warmth, coolness or tingling.

A healing treatment is usually very relaxing and it can be an opportunity for emotional release, a chance to talk or you may simply fall asleep! It takes a few days for the energies to be assimilated. During this time you may feel revitalised or temporarily a little worse – a good sign that you are releasing the cause of your symptoms. Everyone’s reaction is different and no two healing treatments are the same.
