My previous career was in the travel industry in various management roles which initially was very enjoyable. However, over the last ten years this has become one of the most stressful areas in which to work.
Following a bereavement in 2002, I was given healing and immediately felt a deep sense of peace and a recognition that this was something that I had known before. This marked a turning point in my life although I did not fully realise it at the time.
In 2003 I discovered Reflexology and realised what a wonderful treatment it was for combating the physical and mental effects of stress. It gradually became apparent that maybe I was in the wrong profession and at the beginning of 2004 I enrolled on a professional Reflexology course with the Philip Salmon School of Reflexology and qualified in 2005 to become an Associate Member of the Association of Reflexologists.
I then trained to be a Flower Essence Practitioner and became a member of the British Flower and Vibrational Essence Association – this course opened up a whole new vision of the healing properties of the natural world for me and has proved to be an amazing adjunct to my reflexology practice.
In 2006 I felt the need to expand my knowledge of healing and undertook the attunements of Reiki Seichem I and II with Diana Summer. I have also attended various workshops on a variety of holistic therapies and have also discovered the deep and lasting peace of meditation.
Light Touch Therapies has evolved from my belief that, because I am working on the energy meridians of the body, there is no need to cause physical discomfort to my clients. I do not believe in the “no pain, no gain” school of thought.
I have treated a wide variety of disorders and truly believe that the body has the most amazing ability to naturally restore itself to healthy balance with the assistance of holistic therapies.
I look forward to helping you to help yourself .
